Jacquelyn Davoli: MA in Women’s Studies, CFSD parent, dedicated school volunteer

I am grateful to run for a seat on the Catalina Foothills School District Governing Board.

I am a public school proud lifelong Tucsonan and UA graduate. I’ve worked in a variety of roles: writing and editing, professional development and education, engineering logistics, and program management support. As a small business owner, my husband and I built and run two successful businesses in the building industry. We are the proud parents of a 2024 CFHS graduate.

My family committed to CFSD in second grade as an open enrollment family. The robust and varied academic, arts, and sports programs CFSD employs to educate the whole child are why we sought out the district. We were so pleased with the caliber of learning and support that we moved into the district. CFSD provided the academic opportunities my daughter craved, while her education and social development took a path I could have never foreseen via the music program. This district fosters a learning environment that is open, accepting, inclusive, respectful, and challenging at each individual student’s skill and knowledge level. I appreciate the district’s commitment to a well-rounded, high-quality education. I wish to continue these opportunities and excellence for all CFSD students, always putting students first.

As a parent I have loved every minute I have spent volunteering in support of my daughter’s education and activities. It has been time well spent, and incredibly rewarding. As a citizen who believes in the power of public education I feel so fortunate we were able to choose CFSD. I am excited to have the opportunity to serve my community and run for a seat on the Catalina Foothills School District Governing Board.

My diverse work background and strong work ethic lend themselves to the work of the Governing Board. I am a critical and analytical thinker who is deeply committed and diligent in getting work done. I understand how to navigate organizational structures and team with others across roles and functions. Running two small businesses I am goal-oriented, data-driven, and dig deep into details to ensure success. I look at the facts in front of me and make sure all angles of a question or issue are addressed when developing solutions and making decisions.

I value learning in all forms. I believe public education is one of the great hallmarks of our nation. Children have a right to their education, and we have a responsibility to them to ensure they receive the best well-rounded education we can provide.

I can imagine no greater honor than having the trust of my community placed in me to do so by electing me to the CFSD Governing Board.

A vote for me this November is a vote to always put Students First.

My commitment to you

As an elected, non-partisan member of CFSD’s Governing Board, I will work closely with my colleagues on the Board and collaborate with all stakeholders to further the quality education and inclusive learning environment that is a hallmark of a CFSD education.

Promote students’ social and emotional learning

Recognize Social and Emotional Learning has always been and should continue as an intrinsic part of a well-rounded curriculum. Implementing curriculum with SEL in mind leads to better, more positive learning outcomes and students who are prepared to thrive in our communities, workforce, and global economy.

Build on existing Career & Technical Education (CTE) opportunities

Provide opportunities for our students to grow and learn in ways beyond traditional classroom learning. CTE programs are aligned with higher education goals and also support many successful, valuable professions students can enter directly after high school.

Leverage relationships across our schools and among grade levels

Our students and staff at all levels, supported by parents/guardians, make CFSD 16 the success it is. Building on existing programs to make those connections more robust for all involved will only serve to strengthen our district.

I’m proud of the work I have done in our CFSD schools

My willingness to show up for our children and their community has made a difference in their education. I am proud to have:

  • Volunteered in classrooms, including my personal favorite, helping students construct their animals to bring the second-grade African animals exhibit to life.

  • Embraced my inner Band Mom by chaperoning trips and band camp, leading fundraising initiatives, doing work that helped to get the shows ready and our student musicians on the field and concert hall stage, and other activities to support the Falcon Band. I served as Band Booster Secretary during the 2022-23 school year.

  • Received recognition from CFSD’s Governing Board as a Super Volunteer for CFHS Falcon Band volunteer work, in particular the work done to support the band on its journey to the 2023 Tournament of Roses Parade.

I look forward to the opportunity to continue serving the district and putting Students First.
